Maid of Honor - Beauty Tips

The Maid of Honor is responsible for getting her own makeup, hair, and nails done as well as making sure that the other bridesmaids have their hair and makeup done. The Maid of Honor also helps the Bride get ready - so be prepared to become a beauty guru!

Your overall skincare, hair, nails and makeup create an overall look which you want to be flawless. Try to keep yourself from getting too stressed out or you may get skin blemishes and blotches. The more you can relax and help the Bride relax the better off you will be.

If you are having skin issues try to see a dermatologist at least one to two months in advance. You can't expect miracles overnight so take care of these things as quickly as possible.

Never get a facial, or any other type of procedure (waxing, etc) immediately before the wedding especially if you never had one before. It is probably a good idea to have a facial done a couple of weeks before the actual wedding day.

Never start to use new products right before the wedding because you do not know how your skin or hair will react to these products and you never want to look like "who did it and ran".

When it comes to your hair, as Maid of Honor you want to look your best but also you want to look like you are comfortable with your style. Never try a drastic new style right before a wedding - experiment with new styles several months in advance and find the one that is perfect for you.

If you are having your hair and makeup done professional the day of the wedding or perhaps the night before, make sure you factor in the cash you will need and ask the professional what you need to do to be ready.

As Maid of Honor you should be prepared to help the other bridesmaids get ready or find the resources they will need to look their best. Share information among each other if you stumble on the perfect shade of lipstick, eye shadow or hair accessory. Remember, you are not competing in the wedding you are all there to help the Bride shine and all look beautiful doing so.

Everyone wants to look their best on the big day - the Bride, the bridesmaid and of course the Maid of Honor. Helping each other and finding the best beauty secrets for the wedding day is just one of the many ways you can help as the Maid of Honor.
